Patricky Pitbull, alongside his brother, current Bellator featherweight champion Patricio Pitbull, were the faces of the Bellator brand for nearly all of its time before the PFL’s acquisition of the brand. Patricky Pitbull was a prominent fixture of the Bellator lightweight division, setting the promotion’s record for most KO wins and finally capturing the Bellator lightweight championship in 2021. After his time in Bellator ended, going 16-10 in the promotion, Pitbull made his PFL debut in April, losing to Clay Collard.

Known as an explosive striker, Bruno Miranda hadn’t fought in just under three years and was in the U.S. for the first time when he fought in the 2022 PFL Challenger Series. He earned a contract with a win over Carson Frei, and then made the 2023 postseason with decision wins over Ahmed Amir and Alex Martinez – though he fell short in the postseason to eventual champion Olivier Aubin-Mercier. Miranda’s 2024 did not get off to the best of starts, losing in April to another former Bellator lightweight champion, Brent Primus.

The loser of this bout will be eliminated, and both men’s postseason hopes will end if the fight ends in a decision.
