Masayuki Kikuiri has brought an impressive kickboxing display to the sport, highlighted by his time as an interim welterweight champion in one of Japan’s most historical combat sports promotions. Kikuiri, who trains out of the Never Quit gym under the guidance of Koji Ando, has scored six KO/TKOs in his nine victories in the cage thus far. Kikuiri made his Bellator debut last year at Bellator 295, knocking out Alexey Shurkevich.

 

Herman Terrado is an MMA veteran known for his power, with 14 of 15 victories coming via stoppage – 12 of them in the first round. Terrado has competed for various promotions, including Bellator, PFL and Strikeforce. After losses to eventual champion Magomed Magomedkerimov and Jake Shields during the 2018 PFL season, Terrado made his return to MMA last year, dropping a decision to Mukhamed Berkhamov at Bellator 300.

Round 1

 

Terrado misses an early hook. Both men appear to be calculating and feeling each other out. Round kick to the body by Kikuiri . Front kick thrown by Terrado. Terrado goes in for another takedown attempt, but Kikuiri avoids the hip toss and lands on top before the bell.

The two trade jabs early on in the center of the cage. Low kick from Kikuiri . Hook from Terrado, and the two accidentally clash heads. Low kick from Kikuiri again. Terrado misses a big hook. Front kick to the body lands for Kikuiri. The two each throw and miss a hook. Both miss push kicks. Kikuiri with a left hand and the two trade jabs. Terrado works the jab. Terrado lands to the body. Kikuiri lands to the body with the right hand. Kikuiri misses a right hand, and Terrado misses a kick. Kikuiri lands to the body again. Kikuiri slips as Terrado lands a left. Terrado grabs at Kikuiri’s leg and scores a takedown, but Kikuiri quickly scrambles, and now he’s the one pressing Terrado against the cage. Terrado throws down a couple of elbows.

 

 

Round 3

 

Combination from Kikuiri, and Terrado answers with one of his own. Terrado misses a left hand. The two swing away and both score on the inside. Kikuiri landing kicks to the legs and midsection of Terrado. Another clash of heads. Terrado lands a left hook. Kikuiri landing leg kicks again, as well as a pair of left jabs. Kikuiri landing low. Kikuiri tries to pressure Terrado.

 

Kikuiri pushes Terrado into the fence. Terrado lands a right hand. Kikuiri lands a NASTY liver kick and follows it up with a flurry before the referee steps in!
